Clive Wolstencroft established Navigator Insurance Brokers Ltd in 1990, to serve the general insurance needs of professional people working away from home. In 2003 a Representative Office was established in China (Shanghai).

Clive sees his company as supporting ‘captains’, people who have a good idea of where they are going but who need some guidance in getting there.

It soon became apparent that dependable health insurance was, and still is, one of the most fundamental needs, particularly for expatriates.

Usually these expatriates have left a familiar, secure world where maternity and dental care is provided routinely and the choice of doctor or hospital is not an issue.

In contrast, their assignment to new surroundings often means adapting to local standards of employee benefits, when little can be taken for granted. More often than not, they are on their own to search for cover that is suitable for their needs.

Over the years, Navigator has developed expertise in helping individuals and companies, both local and expatriate, in securing health cover to meet short and long tem needs. Clive and his colleagues have acquired much hands-on experience in the many extraordinary situations that face the ex-pat. Making sure that the right money is in the right place at the right time is their hallmark; the ultimate necessity is a Will which can be easily (and therefore quickly) found when it is needed and completes the job.
